Ok, I just started a website, but already its getting to be a pain to update all of the headers.so what i want to do is create a file and then get php to open it up on the page, but it isnt working for me, i know im using the right code to recall it but im not sure how the file that i want to be recalled should be.like can it be an html file?All help is appreciated thanks, and if you need to see the code for the header for some reason ill be happy to show it to you.

The file your calling can be anything, I usually just keep everything .php to make it easier for me to remember extentions.

PHP:
 <? include ("file.php") ; ?>

I know you said you were using the right code, but just put that there in case others wanted to see how to include a file

That is the code for PHP, but not all servers have PHP (unfortunately)

Please do post the code, as if it is not PHP, we could make alternative suggestions other than Brian's.

i found out what the problem was, and what brian had was already in my code.what the problem was is that the page i put that code on, i didnt save as .php

I hate those darn semi-colons:p
