Need help. Php expert.

I wanted to know if a script existed that would let me load pages from another site into my script? So that the user does not know this happening. I mean you click on a link lets say register domains, it would load on my site within that script.


I have a domain reseller account. I hate thos sites they have. I want my own unique look. But i still need to have reseller links within my site to makle money. I just wanted hidden from the user. In other words if They click a link to buy something it is realy clicked at the reseller site but hidden in my script and design.

I know i have seen this done just not sure how they do it. Thanks

You have three options that I know of:
1) standard html frames
2) html iframes
3) html objects

There is no perfect solution as far as I know because there is really a lack of browser compatability. I tend to use a combination of iframes and objects to do what you've just mentioned to help catch all browsers. Iframes are the easiest and work for IE and also newer mozilla browers.

Just tested the frames and it worked exactly the way i wanted. Thanks a bunch for the info. Now need to start on a design arrgghhh.

Hello,

You can also do it without using frames. You can take the data directly from the page and have it loaded on your page. But i see you found a way to do it with the frames.. Its a small program used to do it.

Can you explain how this can be done without using one of those three options please? I'd love to know a good way to do this for targeting older browsers, at the moment I just replace the iframe/object with a link to the affiliate page or provide a polite "You're using a dinosaur if you're browser supports neither iframe or objects".

I wouldn't try to fool around with loading external data when secure connections are involved. The framing is imho the only decent choice here.

Im thinking more in terms of including an affiliate signup page without leaking the visitor from your site. Some companies provide APIs others don't.

My understanding of tcp/ip and http is beginner at best, but if there's a way to include data from other sites regardless of their permission, then it's a very appealing concept.

Without the vendors/companies permission you cannot republish their site in such a manner without infringing the copyright. Linking it into a frame can even be a borderline case, at times.

If you don't want them to go away from your site at any time in any way you either use a company with a proper API or with a system designed to allow this.
