Hey! I own the site.. YourHostNow.Net I'm developing it into a web hosting directory. Does anyone have any suggestions on software or scripts that I can use that people can add there hosts to and manage them?

You couldn't find anything there? Or is it something else but they have alot there and that is probably the best way to going about finding a script for your needs.

HotScripts is the best place. If you didn't find it there you have to google up one or buy one.

Its really haard finding a directory script that can be customized. If you go to yourhostnow.net I'm trying to put the script into that layout.

Hotscripts is good, trust me, i own a hosting company and I personally use one or two scripts although I like to design them :p

Sorry, but "use hot sripts" isnt very useful. I cant stand hot scripts. Takes at least 7 seconds to load everypage, which adds up to alot. And I have dsl!! Slowest site I've ever been to. I'm looking for script names you have had experience with.

I haven't really noticed that but I am on cable so it is a different story.

actually, i switched from cable to dsl to cut the price and dsl is the same speed as cable. I did speed test and everything. All around the same speed. Cant notice a difference. Maybe my dsl is faster because i'm real close to this huge phone box main frame thing down the street.

Well, if you have big plans for it, you should get custom scripting (I know a few scripters who may be able to help you - pm me)

If you're just starting off, try out a CMS like phpnuke, mambo, or xoops and add a directory plugin to it. Alternatively, get seomthing like WSN links.
