hi-

looking to buy a new/used copy. my questions are:

1. what do i need to lookout for when purchasing a used copy?
2. where can i get a legitimate copy for around $130 or so?
3. what is the diff. between mx and mx pro?
4. is it worth to just buy the studio 8?

thanks!

I have a used copy of Macromedia Studio MX 2004 Pro if you would like. It comes with Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, and Freehand.

When buying a used copy, just make sure it comes with product key and the full package. I guarantee you mine is in the box, with the manual, the CD, and the key.

Studio 8 was released after Adobe bought Macromedia. I cannot say I would recommend MX 2004 over 8, however I have noticed that MX 2004 seems to run faster... on my system. I'm not sure of actual benchmarks. Adobe products tend to be more bulky, maybe it's just me, but it sure seems so.

EDIT: Drat. I just noticed a big "NOT FOR RESALE" sticker on my box :'( Well, I, uh, hope the tips were helpful.

well i am using flash for long time now i am using 8th version, if you are serious about it then i would recomend flash 8, it has more functions, more options, etc. it is a better version, lol :)

chulium: maybe you need to update your PC, buy more RAM to run it smoothly, i have never had problems with any of the version.
