The site overall is aesthetic. The colors as well as the header and the logo are great. They work very well. However, the rest of your site is completely full of text and has no way of drawing the user's attention. I think you should work on maybe putting pictures in your posts or draw them in. Also, I would make a footer for the site and get a favicon.

Looks fine to me - I wish my blog looked as good - except the font, I don't understand why so many websites use tiny fonts

I agree, hopelessly overloaded with text and not enough visuals. Lighten up on the presentation and soften the site by being more interactive rather than overwhelming the user with too much text that's presented with too small of a font.
