Need blog/directory script

I'm looking for a script that has both a links directory AND a single blog. I want the site to look like a blog, with a plink to the "Resources" pages (Links Directory). Again, I don't want it to look like a directory on the front page, but a blog. And the blog needs to be fully featured, and the directory's features are less important.

I don't want to hack a directory into Wordpress. I hate using WP anymore, all those security updates and making sure the plugins still work.

I'm considering having someone write it up in Expression Engine.

But is there a script that will handle this for me without coding hacks?

What does a database have to do with my question? I just am looking for a script.

WordPress is a CMS, Drupal is a CMS. Both are database-driven. A directory script is most-likely database-driven also.

Here is a directory script:

You could use that along with WordPress, theming both so that they look like they are part of the same site.

Do you want paid or free one?

I don't care about the money. Paid is fine.

If your users aren't going to login they won't know the difference whether it is one script or two.

You could install the blog to root, and the directory to example.com/directory/

Otherwise, try Joomla. There are some directory plugins here
