Need advice on promting my new forum

Hello all,
I am having the toughest time promoting blackberryboards. Google and a few others denied due to trademark. i even included ® but it still got rejected. I thought about joinging al of the BB forums out there, have it in my sig and post it as my "new" guy posting, but I consider that close to spamming a forum.
This is a fan site and I love my BB.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Keep applying to Google. On lucky days, you might be accepted. Try submitting to ALL major search engines (You do want visitors, don't you?).

One good technique of getting members fast is opening a contest. You won't get visitors who would want to post on your empty board. You have to create some Activity. Ex. First person to reach 500 posts will receive 10 Dollars. - It's not much and you'll definitely get some activity on your board.
