Hello :
I need to set up an http proxy on either port 443 or 8000 that would allow all traffic and http requests to pass through. This service will be for few people and It will suffice to have only one IP and no need for host name. But I have no experience in hosting and setting up this service . All I know is some use Squid stable software that manages all requests. so what will his service cost me and how do I protect the proxy so that only authorized people can use it? Also I need this to allow people to max out a 1 Meg connection when downloading and it will be better if it's hosted in Europe for low ping.
