I am starting to work on a site, www.thecomputershack.net, and I need a little help. How can I put text over the area I deleted the text. I have the picture now set in a table. Is there a way to put a table over a table? I just don't want the whole thing to be a table. Please help.

Okay I put up the picture on my site. First off I would like to type text in the bottom left where there is a fake button. I canot put the text in because, as of right now, the picture is in a table. I cannot put the text over the image in another table. Is there an easier way of putting the picture on the site and then putting text over the top of it? I am using Dreamweaver MX. Does this help you out at all?

The picture is just an example how the layout will be but you can't use the picture like that to create you website. You have to slice that before, so cut the whole picture in small to be able to use html. A lot of templates like you use come on with html and sliced pictures. Hope I'm clear...

If I understand correctly, you want to put text on top of an image?

If so, you can draw a layer above the image, and type in it :).

Although, from my past experiences, layers sometimes screw up on small browser sizes. Happened once or twice, but I some how managed to fix it. :]

Hope that helps! :gl:

I got it so the background itself is in a table and then you put the text over the background image of the table. Another question. Check out the site again. How do I keep them from returning. I need them to meet up next to each other.

Thanks A Lot,

Thanks. I did not design it. I got it from someone on the site. I am looking for a way to make those last 2 splits merge. Any ideas?
