Hi all,

So with near field payments expected to boom sometime this year or the next how much do you think this name is worth? I understand it's a risk investing in future trends that may or may not see the light of day but sometimes I think risks are worth it.

Your thoughts please?

Sounds like a decent domain, but nearfield is rather technical parlance. Consumers would probably use abbreviations like nfc without necessarily knowing the full meaning. IMO it's more a B2B domain.

I'm tempted to give it low $,$$$.

I agree that consumers do tend to prefer abbreviations when it comes to technology but nevertheless I can only hope at least some general consumers take it on board as 'near field'.

I personally think near field will replace NFC as the de facto term because its easier to say and has meaning.
