Of cause IDN have some value...and should be some traffic...

But there is still a long way to go... IMO

I think such names won't be valuable anytime soon (more than a few years).
It just looks odd in the address bar :)
Sure there will be some exceptions, someone will sell his āēīōū.com for $500 and it will lead to many noobs registering all available combinations which will be useless.

I get more traffic to my Russian IDNs, on average, than any other domain... And the traffic is all pure type ins, and to me, type ins are golden....

Hah, take it easy guys. i can understand you. i have some IDN.com & future IDN.IDN, too...

But...

IMO, the majority of IDNs just for sale in a long time... (For now, the majority of people can't even send a mail to [email protected]...;))

You don't believe that? Okey, let's wait and see what happens.

Three years later, we meet here and talk about this thing again...okey? :snaphappy:

p.s. i think IDN=hope, just they need more time...:hehe:

I'm currently living in a country where I'm surrounded by Cyrillic, so maybe I'm a bit sensitive to and supportive of IDN's. For those of us who are used to the Roman alphabet (without diacritical marks), we often forget that most of the world uses other alphabets and marks. Right now, the infrastructive of the internet favors Roman alphabet, but I can see how others might want to make changes that would include easy use of Cyrillic, Chinese and Japanese characters, etc.

There is a certain pride that a country takes in its own alphabet and characters, so these changes may come faster than one might think.
