Naming Your Kid Google ???

http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/002702.html

Last week news came way of someone naming their kid, Google. Yea it is true. C|Net reports;

A Swedish couple have named their newborn after their favorite technology company--Google. Walid Elias Kai, who has a doctorate in search engine marketing, and his wife Carol of Kalmar, Sweden, have named their son Oliver Google Kai, Google blogger Karen Wickre wrote in an official blog on the subject.

My question is :
Does this Give them a legal reason to own "Google" Domains now ? :guilty:

I thought it was sensible for the parents to at least make 'Google' their son's middle name. To have it as a first name would be too much.

It means they have a legitimate excuse for registering google related domain names. I doubt that would stand up in court though. :P

It looks too Sovietish. After October Revolution back in 1917 there were lots of kids with crazy unusual names like Revolution, Octyabrina, Tractor, Ion, Stalinina, etc.

Okay, I'm kidding here... but maybe not...

Some parents need to be beaten for the things they name their kids! Like growing up isn't hard enough but to saddle them with names that are going to get them extra grief is just mean.

We have a dealership out here and the guys name is David McDavid. Who thinks of these things?!

I had to contact a guy yesterday and saw his last name Poole before I saw his first name, Gene. Who the heck names their child "GENE POOLE?!"

Ugghh... sorry, this is a little pet peeve of mine! :|

Gene Poole!

Just thank god the guy isn't irish...they could have ended up calling him Google McDougle!

His friends will call him Goo for short. If he's ever playing a sport infront of a crowd, they'll all yell "Go Goo, go Goo, go Goo"!

He's got words in the dictionary named after him too. Googlewhack...oh man, they just keep coming. Good luck kid, you're damn sure gonna need it. (He'll probably find this site in a few years...USING GOOGLE!)

p.s Is babygoogle.com taken? o.O

Google McDougle made friends with Koodle McNoodle and then invented the new famous search engine called Kanoogle! :p

Let's hope parents don't go too far ;)

Run google , Run !

I agree that some parents should be beaten for that sort of things, like if they never have been kids themselves.
