Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

Now, let’s talk new features!

  • Buy Now: Add a Buy button with a sales price and payment options for buyers to purchase your domains.
    • Escrow.com (Recommended): Starts an Escrow.com transaction for you and allows the buyer to pay immediately.
    • PayPal: Creates a PayPal transaction for the buyer to pay directly to your PayPal account.
    • Email: You and the buyer use email to choose a payment method (e.g., crypto), discuss lease-to-own (LTO) options, etc.
  • Location: Country, region (e.g., state or province), and locality (e.g., city, town, or village) of your inquirers to help you understand where they are located, the best time to contact them, etc.
  • Bulk Management: Set options on multiple domains at the same time: prices, payment methods, appearance, etc. using our website's interface or your favorite spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets).
  • Exports: Download a list of your domains and their settings, customizations, and inquiries, including buyers’ email addresses, offers, etc. (CSV format.)
  • Domain Verification: Verify your domains by using any of these methods: name servers (NS), CNAME, or TXT records.
  • Supersonic Speed Boost: Our landers already loaded blazingly fast, but now they’re even faster — a powerful increase in performance!
    • For techies: Go, Redis, and Elastic (previously only: PHP and MySQL)

Wait, there’s more!

Is there any way to remove or modify this ridiculous verbiage ("Just One Available")?

With our next update, it’ll say, “Make it yours today.”

The phrase “Just one available” was chosen quickly to release the feature fast and get feedback on it.

Do you like “Make it yours today” better? We can change it if not.

I realize directed to someone else, but if I could weigh in I like the phrase make it yours today, a call to action and implies the transaction process will be speedy.

Personally, no I still do not like it. However, I see Bob does. This brings up the point that such copy should be customizable.

However, if it cannot be, I vote a strong no.
I prefer:
1- Nothing (the less copy, the better) - the copy is already underneath anyway (Buy Now or Make Offer, etc). Simply allow that to be the top section (Buy Now) and move "Choose an option and enter your contact details" underneath the two options (and perhaps add the word above as in; "Choose an option above and..."
2- Buy Now (used by GoDaddy)
3- Buy Domain (used by Sedo)
4- Purchase Domain (used by Atom)

I do not like copy that is 4 words - it is lengthy and is not how people talk (no e-commerce store or human would say Make it Yours Today as buy now language).

Screenshot 2025-01-25 at 6.55.39 AM.png

Thinking about this more... I'd add this above or next to the Buy Now section. Both GoDaddy and Atom use it - and have A/B tested it - and it works

Thank you, as always, for your very helpful and thoughtful feedback.

We did try removing that text in the past, and it looked unbalanced:

Perhaps we can fix that balancing issue with your new suggestion of adding the "Verified Domain" text there.

We'll play around with it some more.

Really like the look of these. Thanks to all doing the hard work.

I prefer the top one slightly, but don't feel too strongly between these.

I agree that a verified domain icon is nice to have on them.

You've already got "Available for Purchase" on the left hand side, "Make it Yours Today" on the right and then "Buy Now" below. It's overkill.

However, I understand what you mean by unbalanced. The copy (Make It Yours Today) was prominent and when removed, it looks less balanced. However, an alternative fix isn't to just remove the copy and leave the 2 buttons as is - but rather to increase the font and/or bold the Buy Now language. It is Buy Now that should have prominence on a BIN lander. Make it Yours Today (or Just One Available) or any other language is simply redundant and unneeded additional copy (imo).

In the spirit of less is more; I'd also hope we're able to remove/customize the section that includes the placeholder copy about "southern france".

On another note - these landers are starting to look much better (vs the drab landers that exist today). So thank you!

I would like to add a tidbit of advice.

When creating the 'Call to Action" on a sales lander, it is preferable to clearly state exactly WHAT you are buying.

I am constantly getting offers from people who think they are placing an order with a company (such as a product, property, service, etc.) that uses a similar word, place, name, etc. in their business name as the domain I am selling.

For example, let's say there is a company called Wellington Management that someone is trying to locate and I'm selling the domain Wellington.ca and then they (wrongly) assume that's the domain the company uses (this happens a LOT). If you do not have "DOMAIN" in the action phrase then it can lead to serious confusion as to what the offer is for and exactly what you are selling, especially among new citizens, which we've got a ton of.

So instead of "it" being used everywhere, I would suggest including "Domain" or "This Domain" somewhere in there to ensure people don't mistakenly think they're putting in an offer on a rental apartment. And this "rental offer" happens to me consistently with a few word and surname domains, that are apparently similar to some property management companies.

And yes, I know, automatically typing in word or name domains is a stupid thing for people to do, but stupid people are pulling stupid crap all day long if you let them.

Think about it from their (albeit skewed) POV.

Someone calls Marigold Property Management about an apartment and are advised to send their offer in through the website when they've decided on an amount. So they mistakenly think the company uses Marigold.ca (which hypothetically could be for sale on NP) and after the page loads they see:

Make It Yours Today!

Slap a BIN in there and problem solved! :-P

But seriously... that's probably partially why "Buy Domain" is used by Sedo and "Purchase Domain" is used by Atom. Although it should be noted the largest of all (GoDaddy) uses Buy Now.

I think Buy Now solves your problem, although that would only be for BIN landers obv.

Nope, stupid people would just be hitting the BIN with rental prices being what they are in Canada.

"Buy Domain" and "Purchase Domain" are crystal clear, but just mentioning exactly what type of product you're selling somewhere on the lander should be a basic minimum to selling anything online.

We look at "Make It Yours Today" + the Title and it makes sense, but the Average Joe has no freaking clue what "it" is or what the hell's going on.

Yep, that's the optional "seller description" area.

Agreed, we need to make that more clear.

In the meantime, many sellers have been using the custom description areas to make that clear, which can appear right below the domain name.

Are we having price request without showing the price as well?

So we get a lead requesting a price and start to chat?

Our default lander for unpriced domains serves this purpose very well. You can even add “Price Upon Request” in the description area.

Do you just want to hide the “Offer” box from that lander? I believe our devs were discussing that as an upcoming option.

yeah just hide the offer box, and let them send their email and name to start the conversation, we can take the conversation from there on, that is all we want.

Similar to minimum offers, we'll add more options that sellers can require of inquirers, such as non-disposable email addresses, non-free email addresses, the reason for their inquiry, etc.
