Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Our landers automatically reject their offer if it is below your minimum, and they’re informed that you will not be notified until they meet your minimum offer. This allows you to see what they’re offering without having to manually tell them that it is too low.

This strategy works very well; it helped @Bohdan sell a .io for $75,000 USD:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/th...-acquiring-it-using-namepros-parking.1328676/

We hope this helps.

I tested a 50k buy it now with a 25k minimum offer domain and received the following 2 emails after submitting a $5 offer...

"Your offer has been declined because it is less than the minimum amount required by the seller to begin negotiations. An increased offer is needed in order to start the conversation of selling this domain name.
You may reply to this message to contact the seller."

"The seller will not be notified about your interest in this domain name based on this submission.
You may reply to this message to contact the seller."

So my debate is do I want my email address sent to every lowball offer or should you only send it to buyers that meet the minimum offer? Minimum offer is set to avoid lowball offers, handing out my email address to them all will probably end up with a bunch of $50, $100, $1000 email offers when my minimum is set at 25k on this 50k domain.

Do you think we should just remove the "You may reply to this message to contact the seller" message from emails when the minimum offer hasn't been met yet?

That would avoid this from happening in the majority of causes because most buyers only see "[email protected]" in the "From:" field and don't realize that your email address is hidden in the email's headers under the "Reply-To:" header.

Let's start with this and see if it's ever an issue after that?

The most charming solution is to include a direct link to the lander in the text, with the request to place a higher bid there.

In that scenario, does the email address have to be confirmed again, or can it be remembered in some way or made unnecessary via a modified/custom link?

The email address does not need to be confirmed again when increasing an offer or making a purchase.

An "Increase your offer" button will be added soon if it hasn't already been.

Or modifying the text to pull the minimum offer setting from the domain name...

"Your offer has been declined because it is less than the minimum amount required by the seller to begin negotiations. An increased offer is needed in order to start the conversation of selling this domain name.
You may reply to this message to contact the seller."

"The seller will not be notified about your interest in this domain name based on this submission.

to...

"Your offer has been declined because it is less than the minimum amount required by the seller to begin negotiations. An increased offer is needed in order to start the conversation of selling this domain name.
The current minimum offer to begin negotiations is (Insert variable here)"

"The seller will not be notified about your interest in this domain name based on this submission.
The current minimum offer to begin negotiations is (Insert variable here)"

Alternatively I can create an email alias and just use a forwarder strictly for these pages to gauge if sending every offer your email address results in a ton of lowball offers or viagra spam.

For what it's worth, we've spoken to sellers receiving thousands of inquiries from our landers, and they haven't experienced either of these issues. We still recommend using an alias or dedicated email address for this service so you can track everything easily.

Testing the landers now with an Alias forwarder.

I know you're recommending sending leads to email and managing them there but I'd still like to see a way to delete all the email test inquiries I've done from showing in my namepros account or possible lowball offers that may arrive as well.

I have a good domain I'd let ya use as your example page to show instead of the ninja one but without being able to delete all the test inquiries that would arrive I don't want 10+ test inquiries in my namepros account daily without being able to delete them.

You can make a sales listing in the marketplace section for the promotion of your domain.

Fortunately, we already need a way for you to be able to mark certain inquiries as ignored for the statistics that we’re adding to the dashboard, so it’ll probably be part of that.

Either as a “hide” or “ignore” option.

We’ll have proper demos soon using “Example.com” or similar. Then our CTO’s inbox won’t be flooded with test inquiries, either. 😅

Thank you for the offer, though!

Excellent. Are there any specific issues you encountered during the listing and setup process that are worth mentioning?

Not really,

Adding a name(s) is a simple process and the system adds them quickly.

The only thing I would suggest to someone getting started using the landers (or even someone actively using them) is to have a dedicated email just for the Namepros leads/sales.

An interesting side note to this new option for listing names is how the other marketplaces are reacting making little updates and tweaks. Much of it is too little too late.

Thank you! Super excited for a clean 1,000 soon! 🥳

In celebration of you reaching 900 domains listed, we've put in a request to expedite this feature.

We've noticed that, too. It's been interesting.

. . . other marketplaces are reacting making little updates and tweaks. Much of it is too little too late.
Agreed; we're in this together! 😊

I now have 1,151 domains listed.

Any chance you can negotiate a good deal for us to offer a simple website builder option right on the parked page, so that someone with a small budget just starting out can just pay a small monthly fee to have a website on our domain. We can also offer to simply forward the domain if they have an existing website.

We seriously need other ways to monetize our names.

Most registrars offer free domain forwarding, but we may also add some free DNS management options (e.g., domain forwarding) as part of other planned features.

Wix and Dynadot have simple website builders that are free.

Once we add a custom text option, you could add a note to your landers that you'll help buyers configure the domain upon purchase (e.g., set up forwarding or show them how to configure Wix on the domain). That wouldn't take much time and could help increase your sell-through rate.

We have some other ideas that might help in the future, too.

Stay tuned. 😊

Wix.com shows their lowest priced website builder cost $17 per month. Dynadot is only for domains at Dynadot and their free website builder is too bare bones for a business site.
