Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think the email requirement is a good thing. If someone is genuinely interested in buying the domain, this won't deter them.
What the system needs to be really useful are my two main improvement suggestions:
  • The ability to update prices in bulk.
  • Having a Minimum Offer Percentage (below the Buy Now price).
I can't wait to see them in action!

with bodis you may have problems with the adblockers
I've seen issues sporadically with their landers. For the moment they are working properly (the adblocker doesn't affect them). Of course, it was in the past so i can't be sure it won't happen in the future. But for now, it appears to be working.

yea I told them to disable emailconfirm if we pick the all setting. like bodis does and everyone else.. but they are in love with confirming email. for me that just scares buyers.away. I want all inquiries. confirmed or not. and in my mailbox. if I pick the all setting.

I'll wait for this change before I'm here. anything else and u just give buyer extra work plus some people just dont see and or forget they need to confirm. not for me. cheers.

Agreed. Don't force this on us. Some want it, fine. Keep the email verification toggled to "on". Some don't want it, allow us to keep the toggle "off". Not sure why NP is forcing this.

I tried the Namepros Landers, but it won't work for me without BULK updates using a CSV or TXT file -- Min, BIN, and also download of all names listed in my account.

I'm getting alot of zero offers, and also a bunch of low-ball offers -- at least a MIN would filter out this type of activity.

I only use BIN for my names, which is how I stop lowball offers in the first place. But it does seem to make sense to allow a min for those of you allowing MO. I wonder why they haven't rolled this out? It's standard on Dan.

As for bulk - that's wild. If I were to upload most of my names, I'd have way too many to do manually. if what you're saying is true (no bulk uploads, updates, or downloads) that would make switching to NP very cumbersome.

The price is blocked until the email is verified.
There will be an option soon to show it on the first page, even though we recommend against it.

You think it's good - I don't. We don't have to agree. NP should allow a "toggle". In this way, you could keep it on and email will still need to be verified for you names. I'd keep it off, and my names wouldn't require this. There is no reason to force everyone to agree with one position.

That will serve my needs. I will wait until that option is rolled out to do more testing. Appreciated!

no offence to np of course but I got insane reasons from them for it.. like seller needs permission before contacting buyer thus confirmation..lol.. what.. I need permission to email guy who emailed me first he wants my name bahahah... or they said my mailbox will get 48488485 spams if they dont confirm... to which I said I'll win lottery first before that happens...

anyway... I guess they just forced me out of their lander. this confirm bs is totally illogical and counterintuitive. which is why nobody but np does it.

You have no way of knowing they asked you to email them without email confirmation.

Someone else could have entered his email address, either accidentally or maliciously.

You can set a default minimum offer on all of your domains under profile settings.
This could work for now -- but I have different MINs based on my valuation of the domain name. Example, I might have MINs of $1,000, $5,000, $20,000 etc...

This is inaccurate.

All of the major marketplaces actually require your buyers to create an account with them, including email confirmation, password, possibly security questions, and possibly even KYC at some point.

We only require email confirmation, and even that isn't necessarily required because you still have access to the inquiries on the website.

You're talking about 1-2 lander services that do it differently, and one of them has been reported as being blocked and unreliable, so not the best example for us to copy unless we also want to be blocked. (We don't.)

Regardless, we already told you that we'd add an option to receive emails about each inquiry, even if they aren't confirmed. If it is abused or causes issues, then we'll disable it.

Understood. We'll let everyone know in this thread once bulk updates using CSV is ready. :)

I added a $1,000 MIN across my entire portfolio just to test this out.

I just tried this to test it out.

1) added $1,000 MIN across all my domain names
2) so it does NOT show when the buyer first visits -- they will enter a small amount (or leave blank)
2a) email popup to confirm email address (1 email to buyer)
2b) assume they confirm, they get offer rejected because too low (2nd email)
2c) they can make a new offer, if it still is too low it gets rejected (3rd email to buyer) -- then MIN offer is displayed

I think the MIN price should be displayed after the first rejection. This prevents them from getting too many emails (which might frustrate the buyer)

well we can always agree to disagree I guess. the purpose of a lander is for buyer to type his email for negotiation. in fact zero other info is needed. phone name etc it's all bs that just wastes everyone time. it is same for confirming email. some forget .. some dont know they have to..some dont speak english.. etc ..

ps bodis isn't blocked by adblockrts cause they allow unconfirmed emails on landers.

anyway. ty. cheers.

That's a fair suggestion.

There's another extreme where some sellers want to never show the minimum offer unless it is met.

We have to find a middle ground for everyone because a free service cannot offer absolute customization. Every customization costs money to develop and maintain.

Fortunately, our middle ground works very well. Here's an example of it in action:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This is a completely different type of sale. That user did not have a MIN (unless I missed it in their writeup). That seller just chose to wait for the right offer before entering into negotiations (and luckily the Buyer was a Broker and not your typical end-user for lower-priced domain names).

Anyway -- I thank you for listening and providing your feedback. You have mentioned that BULK updates are coming -- so I am looking forward to that :)

Just to share a little...

I'm currently in negotiations for a two word .com and the extra data that came with the inquiry has been very helpful.

In short, I was able to determine the buyer has relatively deep pockets and after about ten minutes of deep diving on the net I was able to ascertain he is wanting the name for a decade long project he and about a dozen business owners support.

All his offers, starting at nothing all the way up to meeting my minimum, are visible and this lets me know he is a 'hot' lead and that allows me to act/respond accordingly.

So, after exchanging a few 'preparatory' emails, I will be giving him the final price later today or early tomorrow. The unfortunate reality is the event this name is a fit for is not a huge money maker (yet) so my ceiling for pricing is lower than I would like.

I've had dozens of inquiries and only 3 have been viable. Several have been people thinking they were logging into a site to order something or to get more information related to the particular domain. I do not mind all the activity...I'm looking for the diamond in the rough. Additionally, if/when times get hard, I have a nice list of lowballers/investors I can pull through to search for a quick sale.

You can set a minimum offer individually or globally in the settings.
