Remember, 99% of domain investors are broke. Less then 1% is doing ok. If you listen and do what almost everyone does, you will be logically in that 99% group.

So, use your own brain, have very critical thinking, and do not be afraid to test things yourself. Imo no mentor, guru or expert wil make your rich with their advices. Either you have the skills needed, or not...you will find that out after few months or maybe few years :)

As a couple others have mentioned the best thing you can do is start slow. Going crazy at the start (as I did back in the day) is a sure fire way to dig yourself into a hole filled with horrible domain names.

Focus on quality names over quantity, and really think about if someone would buy them to start a business as an end user or not before going through with the purchase.

register to dnacademy and follow their instruction
then you can watch Domainsherpa where they evaluate domain names, and listen mostly to Andrew advises
this is like the best mentor-ship you can get will all the episodes they have

I can do it, but have very little time. If you are serious, are going to invest over $500 per month in domains, and are coachable, I'd potentially be okay with doing a paid mentorship over email. It would be limited, but essential.

You'll buy smarter, sell domains for more, and will likely remain profitable at all times.

I've built a domain investment business from zero to six figures in sales, make over 50% as profit, and in 10 years have never lost money in any 3 month or longer period. We are launching some big things this year which you can potentially help with before there are any users, and after they go live.

DNAcademy sounds like it might be ideal, as it's a structured course with peer-to-peer learning as well, I understand.

Yes the info is on NP and multitudes of websites, the problem is getting the nuggets together.

Oh and I don't work for DNAcademy. Dot com only imo is the best bet.

After years of strangers offering to take me to the Promised Land for a fee, you take the long view that the money saved in self-learning is better spent investing in domains. I seem to have fallen into a Rabbit Hole.

I partially agree with this, but most of the time people are driven by their own habits and beliefs. All the things that we currently experience make up our Comfort Zone. Outside of our Comfort Zone are things we haven't yet achieved. Your Comfort Zone is essentially your current Income Zone. To get what you want, or to get to a level that you haven't yet attained, you need to change your Comfort Zone. Otherwise, everyone would already be consistently moving towards what they strive to achieve. Instead, 99% of us stay within our Comfort Zone and make few large movements over much of our life.

The key to change and to achieving things on the next level are Paradigm Shifts. It is extremely difficult to shift your own Paradigm by yourself via trial and error, and even more important, it is extremely expensive in both time and money. If I'm at 6 figures a year in domain sales, I want a mentor that is in the 7 or 8 figure range. Someone that is 2-3 levels higher than you can easily pull you up by helping you with your Paradigm Shift. What I've learned in the last 6 months is completely different than what I've been doing for the last 10 years.

If we take an example of a Baseball player who has played Little League and now they want to make their high school team. Having a mentor/trainer on a High School or College level team would help, right? What about for College or Major League players. If they had someone in the Major Leagues or All-star level helping them along, would that not propel their chances? But in any situation, coaching someone that has no abilities or acumen in that area will only marginally help them, but for a select few it will propel their success to new levels.
