I have been doing domaining for 3 months so far and i have learned a lot from all the friendz over here. Read a lot of different blogs and threads to understand what sells a lot such as Chinese premium 4L, 3L, 2L, NNNN etc As advised by most of them here to stick with .com and register domain that are relevant, short, catchy and related to products, services, etc. I am pretty sure most of you may have been in the same boat as i am when they first started domaining. How much you can afford to buy? Like 4L are pretty expensive for any domainer who is beginner so it's hard to shell out that much out at least in the beginning. So far i have only either bought from expired domains some old but meaningful domain and hand registered myself the others.

Real question to everyone out here is were you also in the same boat like i am and most other beginner domainers are ? How did you deal with the situation? Advice or thoughts are very appreciated

Presently, I am in the same shoe with you... I'm a newbie domainer but I've acquired a lot of knowledge here and there and I'll still keep acquiring more. The thread that highlights recently completed sales has been a very big turn-on for me, making me feel optimistic that as long as I'm doing it right, I'll be a successful domainer. Right now, I have only 2 .coms and some other nLTDs which I hand-registered myself, one of the .coms has already gotten few offers but wanna sell it a bit higher.

In short, Come up with a list of SWEET Quality domains to be Hand-Regged and reg them when there's a big promo or ASAP, sell them according to their worth, after few sales, you should be able to get some funds for a quality LLLL to invest in and get 2 or more times of your investment.

Learning never ends and i am doing same as you. Just read and read. Looking closely at the domains that are sold daily on namebio, flippa etc. I have listed my domains on Sedo/Flippa. I have got some people looking at those but haven't got any offers yet. But i am positive that it will come eventually. Patience is key in this industry as everyone says. Where have you listed your domain on sale? How are you getting the offers ? Are you doing outbound marketing or end users coming to you and providing offers?

Same here, I just listed them for now though I'm planning to do classified listings soon. I'll try it with one of my best domains.
