Hi,

Just a feature iw as thinking about earlier. Would be awsomely good if you could set up Namepros Direct Debits with other users so on a certain day of each month or howver long the DD is set up the users account will automatically be deducted the set amount and it sent to the other persons Namepros account.

Could help people here who do NP hosting etc.

Also you could have like a 2NP charge or so and then add all these up and put towards selling these added up NP to raise money for charity like the ribbons?

Hope to see the reactions this suggestion gets :)

Ya, I like the idea a lot. Would be very helpful for all those people who sell advertising, sig. space, and hosting on a monthly basis. :tu:

Is it something like PayPal's payment subscription? If it is, I like the idea ;)

this has been discussed a couple of times in the past, the main thing RJ was concerned about was what happens if someone doesnt have enough namebucks etc.

Well what would happen is the subscription is cancelled and the other user removes thier services unless they pay in a x number of days.

That would be a major concern. Maybe have a policy that if you have negative NP $ for more than a week, then your account will be suspended for one month?

Or, a PM should be sent to them, giving them 3 days warning first...

Well if you already are paying someone per month for a service, and you don't have enough, you can't pay him NP you don't have -- usually it comes down to you and the other person working something out. So, if you didn't have enough NP, a simple PM would be sent to both parties so they can work something out. No need for "negative NP"

yes but at present it is all a manual process so you know to check every month.

If it turns to automatic then you may forget or not see the need and thus will be providing a service free.

1 way to combat this that I think was discussed would be to have some form of api.

Why not just send a PM to both users when the transaction has completed? :gl:

So unless you are just running a really bad business it shouldn't be tough to check your PMs or pay attention to who's been keeping up. But I still think the whole idea of negative NP is just a bad idea and more trouble than it's worth.

Negative NP$ is not a good idea IMO :talk:

Isn't rapidjeff working on this??? oh no... hes working on giving me his NP$ (yes he is taking his time)..

I reckon this idea is good but WILL get abused .. its just as simple to PM your customers and say their payments are due

Theres no system that is foolproof, but it wont bring up any problems that arent already around IMO :]
