I just received the following email from NameJet regarding the switch to NetSol from eNom for direct listing transfers-

    ——-

    Dear Valued Partner,

Beginning in October, domains submitted to NameJet for sale via our Direct Lister program will be provisioned through Network Solutions. For domains already listed that are set to close in October and beyond, we will reach out to the sellers directly to work through the process.

Therefore, you will need a Network Solutions account to list domains with us. If you do not have a Network Solutions account, one can be created at https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/create-login-info.jsp. As part of this process you will also need to send your Network Solutions account ID and username to [email protected] so that we can update your NameJet Direct Lister account.

As to transfer fees, we will continue to provide discounts on transfers for domains listed on NameJet. Those discounted transfers can be facilitated via the following link: https://www.networksolutions.com/domain-transfer/index.jsp

This change is part of an ongoing process of Web.com taking full ownership of NameJet. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through this transition. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Thank you for your support and the opportunity to do business with you!

    -Team NameJet

Oh well, I guess NameJet doesn't need my business. Too bad. I was going to list a bunch of domain to close out the year, but I will not if they use Network Solutions.

Yup. Worst case scenario for domainers. Having to pay to transfer your names to fight to get them back out if they don't sell; or if you buy one's name there, having to fight to get it out of that hell hole. :xf.rolleyes:

Very poor marketing decision, IMHO. I have never had a problem with eNom - but I am certainly NOT a fan of Netsol. I have not yet dealt with NameJet - and now it looks like I never will. :(

Of course they would pull this stunt. Their parent is web.com, which is NetSol.

Forget them, this will hurt them and help their competition.

I don't like Netsol, the only time I have domains there is with auction wins and then I transfer out. Enom has always been smooth transfers. I have no idea how transferring into Netsol is.

Having said that, it's just basically instead of transferring to Registrar A, you're transferring to Registrar B. I actually don't understand any of the previous comments. You would stop selling names because you have to transfer to another registrar? Then fight back if you don't sell. When I first started I would transfer right when I saw a bid and that has happened. Now, I transfer once the domain is paid for, so I've never had domains stuck that way.

I dont believe there is much difference between how it was done and how they will do now. I always transferred names once payment was secured so even now no one will get stuck. Just wait for the payment to be made then start transferring.

Probably has to do with Enom ownership change to Tucows.

As stated above, they are both slow to transfer out, 5 days with no express option, and more on the expensive side of registration, two of the same.

I always found it a hassle to list at name jet. Their website is straight out of the 80s but I guess it does the job in a round about way.

I only ever transferred domains to Enom after they sold and paid on Namejet. I guess transferring to them to whereever is okay.

My question would be, at Enom, I pay like $10 for each transfer. Will NetSol be $10?

That is the right question. I believe there will be the same arrangement.

In the end, good names at good prices will sell no matter the registrar.

    I was doing the same..!

Same question came in my mind when I read about that today.

The thing is, when we «WIN» names in Namejet auctions, just don't forget to TRANSFER OUT long before expiration, if you don't want to renew there.

NetSol is not for domainers : (High cost + long transfer process).

I was about to sell domains over there. damn.

    So what's the dealio?

Do you HAVE to transfer domains to Netsol first BEFORE you can sell domains on Namejet? wasn't this how it was before on Namejet with Enom?

Namejet always advice you transfer only when the buyer has paid up.

To me Netsol is easier to deal with. Enom prevents people from some geographical location from transacting with them.

But both have high transfer price.
