Had rather a lot of renewals recently and decided that a LARGE number of my TV.com should be transfered from MyDomain to Namecheap when they had the $5.99 24 hour offer. (gosh isn't TV.com a different price to .TV)
Sadly, I now have a minor problem and wondered if anyone else had had a similar situation.
Six of the names (yes, I check) ended up being moved from Mydomain but are now, according to the whois, in the ownership of the new registrar, Namecheap, rather than myself.
They are not the most important names on the planet - but even so I have contacted Namecheap to ask them to sort it out.
I just wondered - has this happened to anyone else. They moved a name and it ended up changing to the ownership of the registrar!
Confused (as usual), but hopeful someone knows what's going on...
EDIT
Lovely lady called Irma sorted out the problem (Aren't Namecheap nice) and the missing six have now been returned to their rightful owner.
EVERYONE - when transferring a name - CHECK CHECK and Check again that the the transfer is successful.
I saved a couple of bucks on each name but in the process nearly lost SIX names.
Don't let it happen to YOU
