.Name Registrations - How many characters needed

Hey This morning i tried to register a .name on godaddy, how ever it wouldnt let me

I was trying to register www.xx.name

Godaddy ddint let me, but cheapdomains.co.in let me

Now ive got a question if Godaddy doesnt let me does that mean the Cheapdomains.co.in is invalid

Just want ot clarify this before reg'ing

Yup, it's invalid. The name must be 4 characters or more according to the registry -- either the domain won't resolve, or they're just going to un-register it some time in the next few days. Hope you get your money back!
