I have been kicking around the idea of registering domain names that are extension one-offs from other sites. I do not want to step on toes or cause legalissues.
Basically this would not be as large an issue as grabbing lets say walmart.net if it was available. The sites I am looking at have established traffic and the names do not seem to be trademarked. They are sort of unique, but can be justified that the name was derived by adding words together.
What is the advice and opinion of registering such names.
I will give one example. Say FunJokes.com was available, wuld FunJokes.org have any ground to say I can't register the DOTcom version.
