He was referring to the name being a clear TM (trade mark) violation.

If you dont want to know the real value...

And thanks DomainMayhem for making making my statement more clear. You could find a daredevil ( rooky ) who will buy the domain for xx but dont expect that myspace or another end user will give you xxx for a Highly risky TM name...

But I wish you the best luck selling the name and I really really hope you will get something like x,xxx, xxx$ for your name

I don't think net.in is a well established tld.

MySpace is TM'ed, and I bet you will never get $xxx for it, unless it gets traffic (which I doubt). Please share some traffic information if you have.

Without traffic the domain may fetch maximum $15. That is my gut feeling. I don't see end users, and domainers don't want to mess up with TM's unless it is profitable (gets type in traffic).

People get this wrong sometimes - the ext. makes no difference, its where you live - if you live where the TM is valid, you can be sued. Its not impossible to sue someone somewhere where the TM is supposedly not valid either. This one is not premium enough to take a chance.

I would say high XXX to low-mid XXXX. Again, all depends on how the TM works where you live. I would suggest trying to sell this to MySpace.com and see how much they would offer to you.

This is so funny! You meant -x,xxx because of the potential TM law sue? :D

MySpace is trademarked in the USA. Don't you live in the USA? Of course, maybe you are talking about myspace, as in "the closet in your bedroom"?

I say $0, plus lawyer fees! :hi: Of course, IMHO

I understand this, but some prospective buyers may be from the US. And that may scare them away

Haha RageD do you want him to get sued? When he will contact myspace trying to sell this extension myspace will win the case 100% sure bcause they can proof now that he pure has bought the name to resell and that not allowed...

:D
so how to contact myspace.com ?
also im living in india right now
i think TM is valid in here right?

also
it would be just a $10 wash out for me
but as i know myspace.com should first contact me to buy it then do complaining ,etc etc

i know that for a similar situation

by the way

check this
myspace.co.uk
lol
its getting 600000 unique hits a month
parked in sedo and the price is $8000 i think (or that was $80000)
so myspace should go for it not for a TDL indian domain name

So does that mean a person not living in the US can infringe any US trademark they want & they won't potentially get sued or loose their domain?

Can I go & register Google, Yahoo & Microsoft in a domain & if they complain, tell them to get stuffed since I'm not in the US?
