Myspace bulletin post hit's tracker.

I want to get some feed back on who would be interested in a script that tracks the hit's on a myspace posted bulletin? What kind of price would you be willing to pay for such a script?

I have created such a script that does just that, but don't know if it would have a client base for it.

It would be an excellent way for those that post myspace bulletins to show what kind of advertising exposure they get to those that want to buy bulletin posts from them.

An image without javascript is enough to provide a full-fledged hit counter with unique/pageview breakdown, browser info, os info, ip/country, isp. In other words, a free hit counter would track hits on something posted on myspace, unless you mean something more complex. I'm not a myspace user, but I've visited others' sites.

This is why I was asking the question. So, what are some of the sites? So, I can see what they offer. So, maybe I could see if I could compete.

Was asking what site tracker that you have used that uses an image to track hits and stuff.

Well, all of them. Statcounter, W3counter, Extreme-dm, ... many use some javascript to throw additional back to the service, but in the end they're drawing an image and the browser's image request is where the service gets its info about the pageview.

Do they track the amount of clicks a text/image link in a bulletin gets? Never used any hit counters myself in the past like the one I coded. Never needed to really with awstats at my hosting, but this would be something that awstats wouldn't be able to verify.

Put a hit counter on the destination site and watch the referrers. So yes, they can do that too.

Want to be able to track precise response rates from multiple posts with multiple landing pages and predefined actions? Use a slightly more professional ad tracker like AdWatcher. In other words, nothing you try to do here is going to be new, but few of these places market to MySpace users directly (since they aren't a high income crowd).
