MYNIC has confirmed that on 25 March 9am, it will open .my for live registration. (first come first serve). It is confirmed by www.webnic.cc, through their email to me.

It is only USD30, I think it is cheap, as .my is a generic name....great name available, only see how creative we can be.....Yum.my!!! :)

Can anyone let me know a good registrar for .my? Notice WebNic have a $100 min prepayment. If I go for a few premium .my domains & miss out, I'd hate to have thrown away $100.. if that's how it works?

Hi Aaron,

Yah, basically it is open to Malaysians. I suppose you are located in Malaysia too? Have you submitted any names yet?

For those who do not have a local presence, we can provide :)

WebNIC is the Only ICANN Accredited Registrar, with MYNIC Accreditation.
The minimum pre-payment is usable for your domain transactions.
In this case, usable for you to submit your .my names.
So with a few premium .my submissions, $100 might be just enough for you :)
Therefore, no worries, the $100 is not thrown away but to be used to purchase your domains.
