I would be very careful with this tld, I wish you all luck but unless I'm missing something I just don't get this one? whatever.my, it is back to front - for example: my.businesss.com sounds ok but businesss.my just doesn't sound right.

I have a feeling this will end up been another reject tld like .name but I hope for the members here that is takes off but I don't think I will bother. The only names that seem ok are hacks, i.e hack.my etc and ll.my might be ok

I guess if f you can find a niche for Malaysia and research their culture and language a bit before you buy the domains then you might find some gems other than hacks. here is a good place to start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia - 27 million, maybe it could be ok, who knows?

Pig.my - well I hope it doesn't offend. I know about 'Babi' from babi-guling the famous Balinese dish, yum!

Whilst I have only been to Malaysia once (Honeymoon in Langkawi 5 years ago...), I think this extension should have a lot of upside.

There are still, some super premium domains available, population is 27 million, 60% internet penetration, English relatively widely spoken and it is a relatively prosperous country (with tourism yet to truly boom)**

Also I was hoping that .my would quickly overtake the existing com.my as appears to be the case when new extsnions like this have been released elsewhere (eg .in for com.in).

I have no .com.my's -- just these four second level .my's

Yep - Intersectant were able to reg them for me. Someone here on NP actually recommended that I use them, and they outperformed all the other registrars I had sent a list to... so good on them. *thumbs up* !
