hello, if you dont already know, my name is lauren (yes im a girl) ive been in the design and internet business since the late 90's. mostly under my own name LaurenStephens.com. well, as luck would have it, im trying to get out of the design business but i still have a lot of other businesses going on.

the problem is this, laurenstephens.com gets traffic and for some odd reason, quite a few people look for me at google! so what do i do with the site?

do i make it more of a personal site? should i advertise my other businesses? should i just leave a placeholder? should i make it something silly and goofy? heck i dont know!

any ideas?

ps i thought of making it my "find a new man" site, but oh well... that may be more trouble than its worth

ok i didnt mean to be a "wiseguy" thats what i would do and will shortly with my personal site. i mean its about you so it should have something about your business right? if it was me i would lean towards the personal side.

Hey Lauren, great music at your site. If someone comes to your site they should at least have something interesting or informative to look at and a nice clear link to what you are currently doing, or what you are interested in. For all the domain names that I have for sale, I put up a little site, just for passer's by. For example:

You get a little free advice, a place to go about my other stuff, and a little place to buy some stuff for those who just love to buy stuff. Once it is set up, you don't have to keep adding stuff to it and it kind of runs itself. That way you can concentrate on your new site.

The web shopping I use is just a clickbank store front, but their are many other affiliate type outfits that you could use.

You know, I like the little picture and music. You could put up a generic picture with soothing music. Then maybe ad a modest ticker tap like banner that refers people to your new stuff and a link to click.

Add a simple page selling website design services.
like this maybe: "Thanks for visiting my page - I also do web design and if your interested click here" Something like that. It doesnt have to be all corporate just something you do in your spare time.
