My 'my computer' design

i made a design thats like the 'my computer' design without the 'back' 'forward' etc. any thoughts ? is it good for a website ? or will people mistake it for 'my computer' ??

Very interesting and original web design. I would sharpen the icons and use a different font to increase the elegency of the website. Good luck!

which font do u suggest ???

use the original font used on windows.. and make it more elegent, like, the icons are kinda pixelized, and content area is a bit small.

yes defiantly re-do the icons.

Just a little tip if you download the original xp icon set, im sure you will find it somewhere and use a program like iconCool editor, you can save the icon images as GIF's or JPEG's, that way you will have loads of icons to work with and they will look really cool :D

I love the little close button thats cool, you could make it so that hid the side panel that would make teh conetnt area wider too

where your logo is perhaps put in a menu system like "file" "help" etc and possibly use buttons like on the windows folder
