My layout

I did this layout for my personal webpage, I know its not very good, but I have limited knowledge of html and css, and I only have psp 7 for graphics. Anyway, if anyone has anysuggstions, I'd love to hear them. But be warned, this webpage is nowhere NEAR completion; I just don't want to go any farther with this design if it absolutely stinks.

first of all, you can barely read the text, took me a while before I noticed it had a scrollbar aswell... maybe add a background color to it, with a little transparancy.
same as the navigation area, text is fading out so the last words are hard to read aswell.
about the navigation background, think you should make a background image of it, so it runs to the bottom off the site, same as the header, fade it out good, you now still see where the edge of your picture is...

the text is really hard to read, the logo also, you may want it to stand out a lotmore, so that customers are hit with a logo they remember for life, your also going to need more content, its pretty bare, other than that I love it..

you should defenetly do something about the text.. it's so hard to read and also .. do something with that header .. i hate it.
and you should def. use Adobe.... try harder :P

Ok, I think the text is more visable now, and I improved the header. Anyway, thanks for everything guys, except for :P StudioWorks gave me, lol. Good thing I'm good humored

yeah.. the text is umm. ughm...

Suggestion! The box the text is in... make a white transparency of about 40% this will show the horse in the background keeping your style without hurting everyone's eyes..
Make the text a dark color preferably Black. Stay away from the DHTML script.. thats so 90's
I don't think you need the scroll bar for extra 3 lines of text, try playing with the text to where you don't need the scroll bar. Verdana 10 - 11px.

Other than that the layout is great...
