I doubt the Internet2 thing will go up any time soon. I saw a show on this on tech TV (which is now G4tv) and they were talking about how fast data could be sent. The reason why I don't think this will happen any time soon is because it will increase piracy by quite a percent. If people can share files at the rates people are showing here, it would only take a few minutes to download an entire DVD through the service. It would be great if they could just improve latency on the current underwater cables for the different continents to link up. That would be satisfactory for me, as web speeds are already acceptable even for large files.

This one might get really hot if they open internet 2 for the general public.
As far as I know it's still a research project (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Google gives ~1.7M hits for "internet 2", and its a great name for a info
site about the internet2 project.
I'd say mid XX undev, and more with dev.

Thanks again guys......I am excited about this DN. I think it will add well to my stable of names.
It was here where i read a post about internet2, so I decided to go look and the info was expering in a few months.

So, NP is a great place for DN'ers to hang out and exchange/get ideas.

I think its a neat speculative purcase myself. After all back in '95, people would probably have said "reg fee" if you put ebay.com up for appraisal It will take years to prove, but i think its definately worth hanging onto.

It might be a few years before it gains popularity. A DN is almost like the stock market, you never know what will happen in the future that will influence your DN's value.

Suthra, I would rather not say. I will say it was in an acution.
