Hello,
What do you think about this name? I think it has a big enduser's potential. It could be business directory site, something like yellow pages etc.

Thanks, Nick

good name, wrong usage expectation.

YPs targeting a business by religion would be a failure.

However, Islam has some guidelines on how to do business, including not lending money for interest etc.

Hence, the portal could be about all the rules/opinions/guidelines and also could list various investment opportunities within the rules.

The category killer would be IslamicBanking.com, but this one is good as well.

I think you have a good point. I am not fully aware of how the name would sound to Muslims or if they would use a directory with that name. I do not think Christians look for Christian businesses.

Muslims do look to find others in business, one to support them and two to find businesses that meet their standards for things like banking and food (meat) requirements. i know of an online yellow page directory they were charging $35 per listing. but the site is no longer there so im not sure if people thought it was worth it at that rate, others add biz for free and charge for premium upgrade. the problem with islamic names is that the CPC is very low

Approaching endusers would be the way to go with this name. I would start with muslimbusinessusa.com 1st highlighting the benefits of owning your name being right to the point with the keywords then approach other ones listed in Google. I wouldn't bother with the reseller market, just endusers.

It is not really the correct sounding domain IMHO. Islamic is the correct term, such as IslamicBusiness.com for example, and as mentioned Islamic Finance.

But it is not a horrible domain by any measure, it is what i would describe as a raw definition. I'm not entirely sure what it is worth, but you would best target English speaking Muslims for a sale.

Best of luck.

Muslim business does not make any sense. Muslim is the name of the community not the faith. The correct phrase is Islamic business, which means a business in compliance with the Shari’ah Law but unfortunately Islamic is not used for this purpose. Instead there is an alternative word, Halal.

As pointed out above, Islamic is used with words like finance, education, bank etc.

If it is Muslim Businesses (plural form) then it would make any sense, i.e. businesses owned by the members of the Muslim community. Muslim directory makes a perfect sense for the above reason.
