Does anyone know a site that lists the main musical genre's?

I have got a list of musical genre's but is way too comprehensive, I need a list of maybe 10-20 of the main ones.

regarding your list, is there any reason for having Electronica, Electronic dance music, Electronic music as different genre's?

They are simply different forms of electronic music, but each is known definatively as different genres of music, in the music world.
