Music client idea

Honestly I'm just bored and just thinking of random crap...

But anyway I think it would be a neat idea if someone made a chat cleint (Aim, MSN, etc) in which you all your standard features chat clients have but have a radio or music streaming feature. Basically if it were streaming the user would upload their song/cd/or playlist and it either it could ask if the other user of they would like to listen to the song or not. Basically I think it would just be cool to be able and have everyone in a chatroom or something listening to the same song.

If not a client it would even be done on a website. :P

Nice idea I think, It will probably done eventually. It could easily be done on a website with shoutcast and a java chat room, like NamePros has.

nice idea, i think msn used to have some kind of music sharing service like that, not sure what happened to it though, but, wouldn't it be illegal to upload and share music? it would be great if it was implemented with no drawbacks to it!

I'd probably shy away from using shoutcast...it's got some irritating delay issues that make it annoying to use for on-demand music...something like a chunk-based on-demand cacheless system would work better...

once you do it, it would be some kind of a shareaza or gnutelle community where everything goes i think an idea of a moderator or admin will do if he/she will delete what's not acceptable content but requires lot more work.

No shit! Have you heard they've been screaming at ppl dancing to music they havent licensed on vid sites like GV and YouTube?! What's next, they gonna sue the Star Wars kid (cmon, he's been thru enuf) for not paying royalties on the lightsaber "idea"?

This looks like the last grasps at life for something that's gonna die a horrible death. The RIAA and MPAA can both go to hell...
