the 's' frankly, doesn't make any difference. especially when the product is an unknown. if the first one didn't sell. i'd rather not.

I would say the s makes all the difference, unless the end user is going to be marketing a single mushroom product, in which case they would want to name the product rather than referring to it just as mushroom product
