I recently had an offer on this domain (low xxx) and was wondering what you all thought? I grabbed this domain a while ago since it's kind of catchy, and fairly easy to remember. I had some plans for the domain, but those have been on hold for a while due to my day job being busy.

If it's a good offer, I'm thinking I may not even try to negotiate a higher price and will just accept their offer. I'm pretty much a newbie with negotiating prices of domains, so I wouldn't want to scare them off..

Any opinions on the value of this and if I should just take the offer? Thanks!

It sounded like an end user from what they said. The inquiry about the domain seemed friendly and honest. I'm a bit of a skeptic though sometimes...well...maybe not sometimes..maybe most of the time :hehe: and did a bit of googling... It could be a reseller... The nickname seemed to match up with a reseller, and a bidder on a domain auction site. It's not a nickname that seems very common, but that could just be a coincidence too, and my skepticism level may be a bit high sometimes... So I should probably give them the benefit of the doubt :)

I sent them a friendly email back about the domain, and seeing if they would like to talk it over via the phone, or email, and asked a little more about how they would like the transaction to go. I guess if it is a reseller, a sale is a sale! I might be able to get more if I held out, but then I may run the risk of scaring off this potential buyer (who seems nice enough).

Actually one concern I have for the domain is how it's used (I know I have no real control over this though). The .net version of the domain is used for an online children's book.. I'd really hate to see the dot com turn into something that wasn't child friendly. The person who sent me an email about the domain stated what they wanted to use it for, and it sounded like a very nice use of the domain.

I guess now all I can do is wait to hear from them either by phone or email. Hope it all goes well, and thanks for the reply! :)

I'd sell it for low $xxx

Just my 2 cents.

Good information and research MT. Not sure how I would approach this one without even a bit more research. Why would a reseller want this name all of the sudden? Most resellers wouldn't target a random 5 letter .com and make an initial $xxx offer on it. It is a nice enough domain, pronounceable but may get confused with "mugsy" or" mugZ" when trying the radio test.

Can you share what they responded was their intended use for the domain?
