Purchased both names….

MRAMRFID.COM and MRAMRFID.NET to sell as a pair.

Before your appraisal please read this bit of info (news release, January 28, 2005)

http://www.washtimes.com/upi-breaking/20050127-112315-3003r.htm

I plan on holding till the market gets going. Any idea what value to let these names could go at in a pair?

Thanks in advance!

It is too early to say what they "might" go for.

But think about this. I don't know if it is possible or not, but I have seen new technology that is considered to be the "wave of the future" be replaced by somehting even newer makjing the initial technology not only absolete but it neve even made it to market since the newer technology came out too quickly.

So, what do you think the chances of RFID being replaced by something "better" before RFID is even given the chance to go mainstream? What if there is a news story within the next month that uncovers a new technology that blows RFID and SUPERRFID out of the water therefore RFID virtually dies without ever becoming very mainstream?

But I do not even know much about RFID. Is this even possible?

Something to ponder, perhaps, especially if you are going to be buying hundreds of RFID-related doimains and hoping to make a killing in the future.

You know zquest, I ponder that everytime I click the "buy now" button at GoDaddy but the reality of looking ahead is always a gamble.

You can't win if you don't play!

I try to stay on top and read all I can on the subject but like you say, some little Einstien may come along and mess everything up. Hopefully like the rfid technology we can be there when the change happens and be some of the first on that scene too!

Right! Exactly!

I am just making sure that you realize this becasue I know you have been spending a lot of time & money on RFID domains.

Just be carefule.

RFID is also just like any other market in that only very few of all RFID domains will ever be worth anything to write home about.

I am also running under the assumpltion that you, like most of us (I suspect) reallyare not what you call "well-off". therefore, that buy now button is your enemy most of the time. I know, I have a lot of domains and some I wish I had never purchased to be honest with you. I bought them when I knew nothing at all about the domain market. I still know very little but I know a lot more than I did.

If you do have money to burn then I would suggest that you start to diversify your domains into other industries. putting all of your eggs into one basket can prove to bea major diaster, especially with domains since you have nothing to show for a domain. It is a non-tangible product. Once you stop renewing the reg fees, it practically disappears.

Good luck.

< Reg fee, IMHO.

reg. fee -- A long abbreviation that isn't likely to be a type-in. But good job in thinking ahead. :)
