domain Movie Title Domain

I picked this one up after a very gruesome auction battle at Pool - ShaunoftheDead.com

Now before you post your comments/appraisals, I want to say that I am very much aware of the trademark issues involved, and I do not want to hear any comments concerning the trademark issue.

Now the official name of the movie is "Shaun of the Dead" and it was released in 2004. http://imdb.com/title/tt0365748/

One thing I did notice is that there is a 89 overture for "shaunofthedead.com" with extension! Which I think is great. And there's a 9623 overture for "shaun of the dead". I believe the 89 overture for the .com is the mistake that people make with the official site which is: shaunofthedeadmovie.com.


Obviously this domain has potential for a fan site, and can probably generate some small amount of revenue - hasn't been ppc parked yet.


Please appraise (don't quote the domain please).

The thing is, while it should have a nice value, it had much bigger, and its going to be much less by every month. Im pretty sure the overture was 10 if not 100 times more 2 years ago. Anyways the value should still be in somewhere mid xxx$, developed much more of course.

My question now is, where would be the best place to park this domain? I know NameDrive generates the biggest revenue, but I need a parking sponsor that can actually make the template look like it isn't a PPC template but rather a movie site so that I can generate more clicks.

I don't think NameDrive has the right set of templates for this type of domain. :p

Easy, open up the photoshop, make a top banner like http://dubaisportscars.info/dubaisportscars.gif , but of course with a screenshot of the movie+title, then either you write a review, or find a copyright free one, and place the ads on a good place. Shouldnt take more than 30mins to make it, plus set it up.

I love the film! Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are legends... Unfortunately, I have to agree with what's been said already, and that is that people have short concentration spans and the film will be 'forgotten' by internet searchers soon enough. I would try and sell it now if it were mine, as i think it will lose value even more from now. If not, making you're own ppc/adsense mini-site is the best way to go about generating revenue, then give it a few links. You could even sell the dvd through amazon affiliate or similar...
