MoveTo(dot)com

Just cleared escrow!

-Short, memorable, with several markets of appeal
-64.7 Million Google results for "Move To" (space)
-1.8 Million Google results for "MoveTo" (no space)
-1,600 exact Google searches/month for "Move To" (space)
-1,600 exact Google searches/month for "MoveTo" (no space)
-All major extensions taken for both "MoveTo" and "Move-To"
-Old domain -> originally registered in 1996
-Some parking traffic
-Great development potential (i.e. Seattle(dot)MoveTo(dot)com)

Would appreciate some appraisals as well as some development ideas.

I am sure a lot of us are jealous of your "find." Good luck! You seem to have a great development idea in "Seattle.moveto.com."

You must be referring to reseller value? Can you explain how you came up with these figures? They seem VERY low for a domain of this caliber.

Yes, reseller.

Ok, seems low even for reseller but thanks for your opinion. Rep added.

I don't understand what is missing from this domain to give it a $XX,XXX reseller value. What makes it any less valuable than TopModel.com (sold last week for $117K on Snapnames) or SMSGlobal.com (sold last week on Sedo for $30K) or FreeLove.com (sold last week on Sedo for $17.5K) or ThinkFirst.com (sold last week for $10K on Afternic)? It seems to have everything that you would look for in a top tier domain, with the possible exception being that it's not really a product name. But then again, neither are "Free Love" or "Think First".

Looking for some additional opinions....

Its a great name I think the reason the value is lower than for example topmodel.com is that moveto is non specific whereas topmodel is a complete statement.
With a great site behind it you could easily acheive the figure you are after.
I think the best thing you could do is to transfer it over to me for safe keeping :D

I think its a nice name... Short, punchy and lots of different development potential routes...

Good luck :tu:

Mid $x,xxx to a reseller for certain -- lots of potential in this name. To an end-user this could very easily go for low $xx,xxx. Good luck with it!

I agree with the reasoning behind the lower

reseller value. It's a great "brandable" name, but it requires development to unlock the value, so an end user will be more than willing to pay $xx,xxx for it if they have a great idea to monetize it.

Rep added for everyone. Thanks for all of the feedback! I need to decide on my next steps with this domain, which will probably include development.

Just to follow up....Today I talked with a friend who is in he domain business. He went nuts thinking of the possibilities you have as you develop this one. So you have a winner! And if you need help developing it, there are plenty of folks here who will be glad to help. That's not something I do but I bet you can find many to help if you want.

Success to you!
