.mobi Mobile Search Not Too Hot

A recent UK survey of mobile phone users suggests that there may be no where near the amount of people using their cell phones for search, as believed.

Its a quick and interesting read. I don't search the web for mobile content anymore either, my experience so far is that the pages basically suck so I don't waste my time. Give me a better phone browser, a faster network and mobile ready content and then things will change, and quick. I know better stuff is available now but I'm one of the many millions stuck in the middle of a 2 year contract so my upgrade will have to wait.

I'm not surprised, there aren't too many great mobile compliant search sites. This brings the whole point of .mobi into focus -- build better mobile search engines/sites and the masses will actually search.
