What do you think that MobileSalesForce.com is worth?

I registered this domain right around the same time that SalesForce.com was registered and before SalesForce.com was incorporated or went live so there are no copyright issues or claims to be had on their part. In any case, I think that there are a lot of opportunities for this name that would not be considered a conflict in the marketplace.

Although by your statement it shows you had no bad faith, but most likely nobody will touch this name based on the size of the company in the second keyword. Someone buying it today would have to assume the liability risk of trying to build out on this name, even if it is warranted it doesn't mean they can't start legal action simply for the sake of discovery. For that reason I think it holds little value to anyone else other than the primary company, and yourself.

That's strange! I originally registered it with Network Solutions and thought it was around the same time.

In any case, the domain can be used for purposes that are not in direct competition with salesforce.com and will not create confusion in the marketplace therefore eliminating any concern for a dispute.

If so, they would have sought the name long ago. I have had this domain for over 16 years at this point so any claim would be baseless.

This name has value. Do either of you have an opinion about what it might be worth?

Perhaps I should offer it to SalesForce.com but that could cause trouble also potentially.

While they may not go after you, it won't be the same for any new user should the domain ever change hands, which wwwweb has already commented upon.

I understand but there is still an opportunity to create something that is significantly different than salesforce.com. They can't possibly make a claim to the words salesforce in every use case. In any case, I have entertained offers in the past and will do so in the future. Whoever, buys it will have to figure it out.
