.mobi .mobi Development Question

I'm not sure if this question should be in this section or the development part, but figured here since it pertained to .mobi.

Is there any software out there (freeware or to purchase) that allows the following scenario:

1. A cell phone user texts a message to a number (Ex "Hello World" to 75833).
2. The software would then take that text message and post it directly onto the .mobi site?

Thanks for your help

sorry i dont have the answer in this reply but I am interested in similar functions. the texting to web, GPS data to web, call log to web, and voicemail to web. Im sure these will all be available as the web is more tightly integrated with these mobile devices.

You need to first understand more about short codes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_code

They aren't cheap.

Thanks for the information pertaining to short codes.
For my example, lets just use a standard number and not a short code
(ex. USA #1-800-123-4567)

If a user texts "Hello World" to 1-800-123-4567, is there a way to take that data and push it to a .mobi site?

Are there any software companies that has this funcationality?
Can it be purchased or used?

Any information or discussion surrounding this topic would be great.
Thanks

I've got a lot to learn still about coding but I think it would be easier to use SMS text to an e-mail address instead of a phone #. That would leave the phone company out of it completely. I send and receive texting between my phone and an e-mail account often so if there is a script for pushing e-mail info into a website that could solve your problem.
