Well, just a little issue in the NP$ incentives IMO,

there are alot of people advertising incentives like "Get NP$ to signup" etc etc and now.. when you look at the thread, it says that you have to make some posts aswell?

Do you call that signing up ? I think these people just want to suck people into their threads and waste their time when their not even asking for "a signup" more like a signup and some posts...

I think these people should at least use a topic title such as "Signup and make a few posts for NP$!"

It's misleading and false advertising you know... man..

And I know there will be someone replying to this thread with "Who cares, a few posts is not much"

Well, you know some people don't have the time and when some people see threads such as "Register for NP$" and "Signup for NP$" they immediately think that it's an easy task until they see what's really in store for them.. A COUPLE OF POSTS!??

Well, not only have you wasted your time because someone has completely misleaded you into thinking that it was an 'easy task' , well it definitely wasn't =P there are some people at work/school just browsing NP and they don't have the time to put up with peoples misleading garbage ...

The Message:

Stick to what your topic title states, don't just think that you can add a few extras and think that everyone won't care, no wonder why not many people participate in your threads, you tricked them, that's what you get :)

- Hope you guys read the post clearly before replying B-)

But, you know alot of the forums posted either have a boring topic or an unoranized set of forums that people can't even think of what to post :D

Personally, I don't find it to be a HUGE problem. That's perhaps because I don't frequent that area much, but to me it seems like it's not too big of an issue. I do see the point you are trying to make, though :) .

My two cents :gl: .

The titles may be a little misleading. I would also assume that something saying "Register for NP$" would just require a signup and no further action. A better title would be "Post on my forum for NP$!" since registration is usually assumed.

I haven't seen this as a crisis yet, but I'll take a closer look next time I'm browsing that area. It might be time to assign a Forum Leader to that area.

Agreed...it is annoying:

Many of the NP Incentives titles state things like:

"Free Easy 10$np"
"5$np Free!"

Fortunately I can usually read enough text with a mouseover to NOT waste time clicking.

By the way, the whole NP$ Incentives Sub-Forum is an OUTSTANDING way to build forum registrations and posts. Just a bit annoying running into spam-like titles.

Regards,
Keith

Ya, I think the bigger issue is what Keith brought up, of people saying Free NP$, when in fact it contributes nothing to the thread, and sole purpose is to draw people in through false advertising.

Things is though isn't the the first post part of the advert? you can only fit so much in the title line. Anyway this is standard advertising procedure isn't it? Grab the attention then once you have it explain in detail - As long as people are honest upfront (in the title line and/or the first post) I don't have a problem with it, it is a 'forum' structure rather than a banner ad at the end of the day - IMO

Will we see the day when we are paying people NP$ to look for ads to earn NP$ - lol :o :]
