Minimum price for contests

Does anybody think there should be a set minimum price for logo/design contests. I feel $5 contests is degrading designers ability a bit. Maybe a sticky about the minimum and moderaters could maybe close threads that are too low.
Also what do people think the minimum should be I was thinking $15-$25.
Any thoughts?

Not Really - Some of the folks offering these low prices are new and trying to build a name for themselves .... Some have even Done some for free to get the word out ..

No. There should be no limitations on contest prizes. I hold $5 logo contests; sure, it's a low budget, but I'm not asking for a lot.

Simplicity and originality shouldn't be hard to come by. Especially from NamePro's diverse selection of quality designers.

No one user should be restricted to setting a minimum price for their contest. It's their contest, let them run it. If it's too low, then some designers don't have to or won't enter. Of course, most are out there to make a quick buck or two.

Let the entries for contest lay within the designers, but there shall not be any restrictions for prizes.
