Mike Mann sold betterfuture.com for $65000. He purchased it for $350 in 2005
Congratulations to @Mike Mann!
Congrats @Mike Mann
Thats a great name right there at a deserving price.
Pretty sure some insurance company grabbed it.
Great name! Great sale!
And 13 years patience for the right buyer to come along. I always quickly scan the weekly sales reports for any of my domains that I let go at low-prices 10 years ago when I needed to the cash, before I can read the sales reports in a relaxed fashion. Pleased to say I've only ever seen a couple that made it into the mid $x,xxx on the reports
Congrats! That's a great name at an amazing price. #hodl @Mike Mann
Any idea of it sold at bin though domain market lander? Or how and where it was sold?
It's a decent name, but for $65k?? I'm very new to all of this, but I don't get it.
Yea I’m in the same boat. Made only one sale in 4 years doing this and I see some of the names sold and I am in shocked. I guess another mans mistake or stupidity is another mans wealth lol. I have decent names and I see even worse names sold for good money!
In my opinion betterfuture dot king is maybe mid $x,xxx....I mean for someone to drop that kind of cash on a domain they either have a multi million dollar business idea or they think it will be worth more. But who knows
And to add, Mike Mann from what I read on these forums has a way with words and sells things really good. I’m not trash talking him but I wouldn’t say he is an expert domaines, just has a large wallet and people working for him and pushing sales. I’ve seen some his sales and the domains prior to the sale was appraised at $0!
It's about the power of the portfolio and the law of averages.
When you own hundreds of thousands of domains, you are going to make more (incl. high-dollar) sales.
The 1% of brands he does sell each year (his average seems to be around $400K sales/month) need to cover the 99% that do not. The vast majority of his sales are in the $2K-$5K - and, yes, his model is profitable.
While his model seems to be profitable, it's funny that he once said that he doubts that HD's model will survive.
This is Mikemann's Daily business ...Everyday or the other he sells in 5 figures. This is no news.
lets discuss something unique...
Nice Sale though
thanks to the thread starter but i love this comment
