Yes, Windows Vista is still in nappies and there is already speculation about Microsoft attempting to create a new operating system.

Midori will however take a while before it sees the light of day according to industry experts.

Currently the project is in the incubation fase which other experts see as a sure sign that a production version will be available soon. So who do we believe?

Midori is apparently a total different product to the other Microsoft offerings. Over the years Microsoft have taken the route to improve on previous OS`s as to where with Midori they are changing it from the building block. This means that they will most probably run Midory alongside Vista and when we are all just getting happy with Vista - they will kill it and stop supporting it.

Examples: Windows 95, 98

I think that we have already seen Midori in action - remember the Microsoft Table Top computers?

This show an operating system that is far beyond anything we have seen in the Microsoft stable. Was this a glimpse of Midori. Last year Microsoft noted that the table tops will be available within 5 years. It is certainly not running on Vista.

The other question is whether Microsoft will make Midori more Search orientated or more Social orientated since they are having troubles in both departments.

The BIGGEST question however is....

Have they learned anything with the launch of Vista and its SP`s? I guess we will have to wait and see - again.
