Hi all, I need your help.

    I have a website-project MexicanRoutes.com
The idea is create an online travel guide.
    The largest online travel guide.
There are a lot of similar websites but all have as much maybe 50 destinations, mostly with short description, or just images, all the same, from one website to another one, the same short description and a lot of popups, banners etc.
I have no bothering ads, no popup windows, no suscribe popup banners.
The content is not original, I copied it from wikipedia, but I edited and cleaned all posts.
I deleted all useless for tourist information, added google map, organized all in groups by states and by a few categories as: colonial towns, resorts, archeological zones etc.
There are almost 300 destinations by the moment and I plan to add at least 500 more.
I use "right clik disable" function to avoid quick copy-paste of posts.
I also disactivated a feed options.
There is a small traffic from October: from 5 to 10 daily uniques coming from search engines, mostly from Google.
I also have some visitors from Facebook and visitors coming by reference coming from my another websites.

    Now.. What I need..

I want this online guide to be a popular guide for people who travel to Mexico.
I want at least 500 daily right visitors, not students trying to copy the content for thier homeworks or blogger, I want really visitors who plan to visit Mexico or those who already travelling there and use my website in thier travel.

I have actual traffic of 5-10 uniques, but just 1 of them visit more than 3 pages.
Most of them just check or read post, then check 1-2 additional pages and leave.
    Some come back days later.
But there are a lot that just come and leave the same page.
Maybe they just need to copy-paste but cant and leave, so they are not my targeted visitors.
Almost all visitors are from USA and Mexico, mostly they use PC and not smartphones, so I think they are local ones. My target is travellers with smartphones and tablets.

What have I do to promote my website and get the right visitors?
I still adding posts.. But in future..? I dont have now money for Google campaign, but do you think this will be a good idea?
    Facebook group?
    Twitter?
I dont just need traffic, I need right visitors...

Maybe something wrong with the structure, interface?
Or it is normal for the website after 1 year?
I worked on it May-June last year and then October.
So, not daily new posts.. But I not always have time...

What I have to do now?
    Continue posting?
I have a public in Facebook, maybe better convert it into group?
    Ok, and then?
    Pay Google?

I would post content about Mexico and Mexico Travels on social media, drive traffic to website, convert to :$: through ads, or affiliate travel links would also be a great play here.

Adwords can be good, as well as Facebook Ads if you get the budget.

    Best of luck!

    Hi,
I dont want to use blinking ads there.
I will monetize it with sponsored recomendation.
You can read here about my monetize tactics:

So, I need right visitors who search for info not just for copy-paste on thier blogs and not for make a homework, but those who plan travel to Mexico.

The problem is I am not sure I get right traffic or maybe I just dont get something.
I have organic traffic, stable traffic, 5-10 each day, but each day come 5-10 visitors from Google, Bing, Yandex, Duckduckgo and Yahoo search engines, mostly from Google.
But they check just 2-3 posts, not more..
So why they enter? I dont get it..
I put myself on thier place and I know that if I really plan to go to Mexico I will check more than 2-3 posts..

I think you could simplify the design of your website and add more CTA (Book now, Plan now, etc.) to increase engagement with your visitors.

Here is the top Mexico Travel Guide on Google for a reference: https://www.visitmexico.com/en

Well, they rank well and have a 116K Alexa Ranking, really all that matters.

Much easier to convert when you are pulling in those numbers. :)

Posting on social media is #1 in terms of Free Targeted traffic.

If you post about Mexico travel, surely you will attract the visitors you are looking for.

Facebook Ads and Adwords for paid traffic.

Best of luck with your venture my friend.
