I've owned the domain MenSuck.com for years and when people hear I own it they always react the same way "omg that's worth so much money". But in reality, what is a domain like that worth?

The free automated domain appraisals come back with varied answers, anything from $4,000 to $59,000 and one even came back saying it was worth $250,000.

I do realize that a developed website increases the value, so that gives me something but based on just the name alone what do you guys think?

And do you really think there is any chance of selling a domain like this?

It's short, catchy, clearly for a female market, has about 600 members, decent link popularity, been around for years, so listed in most major search engines. I don't know.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, for people like those of us here, this domain is worth around $1000.

BUT, and this is huge, this domain would most likely be worth $5000 to $10,000 to someone who wants to start a business around it.

This is my opinion, and I am sure you will get more from the others here. Good luck with your domain.

Nice name. Clearly worth at least five figures. Get it on some sites for sale for a while and use the traffic and offers to help judge a price. Don't be in a hurry. Also, though normally associated with women, businesswise, you might get a much higher price from someone for some sort of gay site, probably xxx, of course....but money is money.

Also, remember that by submitting it here for appraisal, it will now show up on all kinds of searches.....for better or worse.

Here's one more to that list - my free automated system's appraisal:
USD 1,680

I'd be partial to my system's estimate, my own interpretation being that you could probably sell it in no time for xxx to a reseller, quickly to an adult webmaster for the appraised amount, and then again could get high X,XXX from the right buyer.

Has some good potential, and a very large end user base.
First thing that came into my mind was that it could be developed into a feminist site.
Then of course an adult gay one.

I think you should try to sell it on some adult webmaster forums best (GFY), and you should try to get high $x.xxx for it.

Thank you for your advice. I most appreciate it. I have previously been offered xx,xxx and passed but the market has changed so dramatically since 2000, so I just wasn't sure what to base the value of the domain only on. I know the development of it has value but the name is what makes it hard. The market can be so crazy. Or at least it was when I first bought the domain. :P
