I just finished the design for my new site, It will be open next week Im currently adding everything to it and fixing a few tweaks.

Tell me what you think of the design, I wanted to keep it from being graphic heavy to save bandwidth in the future but still have some style.

The Bad

• Your site lacks color.
• The ad right next to your banner really takes away from the site.
• In firefox everything is tabbed down about 5 returns.

The Good

• The logo is nice and clean.
• The design is clean.
• You have a favicon!
• Fingernails are nice and so are affiliates.

I think if you brought some more color in and touched up a few things this site would look great.

Hi. First of all, the template looks quite good. It has nice dark colours and borders, a cool banner. Second, the media database is quite big.

Thank you for your replies. I decided to do a bland but sleek color scheme because I was bored with all the designs Ive done lately which have been quite colorful :P

Detailed Analysis

When I saw your domain, I knew it would be something like what you've got - which is great. Easy domain to remember and hits the content well. The simple layout may be a bit too plain for your type of site. You want it bright and 'happy' to attract your target audience. There also seems to be a big block at the top of the page that occupies nothing. Possibly a page break too many?

Your advertisements are out of the way and navigation through the menus is easy. You might want to move your search to the top as well. Your extra pages such as the FAQ are good as well.

One thing that is a big 'downer' for your site is the originality. I read your 'About Us' page and it didn't really convince me that your site is different. There are thousands of similar sites on the web - try and aim for something truly unique like your own content. Most of your content seems to be off other websites - if you start making your own, people will come to your website for it instead.

Unique content is what you are after. The design is adequate to get this site going. Try and add colour as well and start advertising well! Good luck.
