Ok, I have another one for you. I have picked up a few generics recently, and think it's fun and educational to read your appraisals. I am relatively new to the domain industry and am still trying to grasp the concept of appraising names and valuation. So, rather than vanity (The reason that some may post really good names, when they know good well what it is worth. Not that this is a bad thing), I truly would like to know what you think this is worth because I am not all that sure. I just know I got a good deal on it!

I really like this. High xxxx at the very least IMHO, but I'm new to it. Perhaps wait for some more experienced dudes.

I'm new too, but I've figured out one thing by now: all one word dictionary meanings with any sort of monetary value will find end users easily and will go for atleast 20k.
I never thought Pottery.com would go for so much. But it did.
The same case with your name...Mechanism could mean so many things...

I figured Pottery.com would go higher, perfect name for a merchant. Mechanism.com though, is a harder sell. It is not intuitive, as far as a specific product or niche. Frankly, the only thing that popped into my mind was Kevin Costner, as he was about to pitch a baseball in "For Love Of The Game", where he would say to himself, "Clear the mechanism", and the crowd would quiet down.

Even so, there should be a market for the word out there, especially amongst domainers, though I am unsure how much it would be worth.

JMO, but I would not pay more than mid xxx, but I think you will find someone out there to go into the x,xxx range.

I do not see xx,xxx without some kind of further development or a plan that I could grab onto and say yeah, that would work.
