I was thinking about selling my domain name and I was wondering what it might be worth.

Do you think I could get $20.000.00 for it?

Secondly, I think your target is an end-user and $20k might be a bit too much. I'd say low-mid $x,xxx. But that's only to an end-user, not a reseller.

I dont know about 20 grand but this domain is worth a lot more than 4000 ,I think this would be a great news site or celebrity news site or even the trade ,I see about 8-10k or even close to your wanting price. Just list it everywhere here is an end user ,you may have missed high traffic site too meatandpotatoespgh . com I think they would love your domain.

Yeah they have a good site you can probably work out a payment plan with them ,you can redirect the domain to them and they can pay off so much a month. Escrow.com may have a service like this ,I think ,but I know its out there.

I like the name as a slogan or catch phrase for a food company. However though if the owner of a restaurant with the same name has not come to you with an offer but only to say thank you for emails then he does not intend of spending big money or any money for the domain. I would hold out as this is a good domain but for the right co.

I don't think the restaurant in Pittsburgh even knows I am interested in selling it.

It would kill me to have to sell my domain as for the last eighteen(18) years I have been known as The MeatMan in Las Vegas, but times are tough and for the right price I might be in a spot where I have to let it go.

Well, personally I would. I think that would be a very good price. The reason being, this is a "brandable" name, as opposed to a pure "generic" business/service domain such as computers.com.

When considering value, you have to think of the business reasons why you would pay a large amount for the domain. A large price usually means the domain is VERY brandable, i.e. short, memorable, easy to spell, highly marketable, high value internet industry e.g. cloud.com.

When it comes to meatandpotatoespgh wanting it, the business case isn't really there. Having meatandpotatoes.com would make very little difference to their business revenue. The same cannot be said for a tech company managing to acquire cloud.com.

So, when you get a good offer that works for you, definitely take it. I hope that helps.

The term does have the meaning of "the most important / basic / essential elements" of something. So any internet use could reflect that meaning in some way.
